Luxury Beachfront Vacation Detox

What is Ibogaine?

Ibogaine HCL is a pharmaceutical formulation (a fine chemical) of the  Central West African herb “iboga,” used for centuries in medicinal and spiritual practices. It was first discovered by the Western world in the 1960s, and was first used for the treatment of addiction-related disorders by Howard Lotsof

Lotsof discovered that the herb had the ability to interrupt addictions, particularly opiate addictions such as heroin, cocaine, and more recently Oxycontin addiction and methadone. The drug’s effectiveness comes in its ability to eliminate withdrawal symptoms within 20 minutes of being administered. It was discovered that Ibogaine interrupt future physical cravings for up to 7 months long enough so that a person can develop necessary coping mechanisms to cease drug use permanently.

Ibogaine is currently used by medical professionals in Canada , Mexico , and approximately 200 nations worldwide, to treat addictions, and as a pain-free method of drug detox. It has not been approved by the U.S. FDA. It remains in the body for about 30 days after treatment, and patients do not experience drug cravings again for, on average, a period of 24 months.

What Does Ibogaine Therapy Entail?

Ibogaine Therapy itself lasts approximately 36 hours, although Ibogaine Detox Clinic’s IbogaineTreatment Program spans five days and includes a medical evaluation prior and psychological counseling after. Ibogaine HCL is taken in pill form, first in a small trial dose to assess tolerance, before larger doses are administered. Patients feel fatigued and even groggy after treatment, but they quickly regain strength over the course of a couple of days following treatment. They emerge feeling energetic and optimistic.

What Are Possible Side Effects from Ibogaine Treatment?

Possible side effects include sleeplessness, emesis or vomiting, Ataxia (motion sickness) if the patient moves to rapidly, lack of appetite, dehydration, light sensitivity, sensitivity to sound, suppressed muscular coordination, heavy perspiration and a decrease in blood pressure. Approximately 75% of patients experience dream-like visions when their eyes are closed, but these visions can be eliminated by the patient’s choosing, simply by opening their eyes.

Because Ibogaine returns the body to a pre-addictive state, the patient is at a high risk for drug overdose if he or she attempts to use drugs again. If a patient decides to continue drug use, he or she must revert back to a 'beginner dose.'

All side effects pass after 24 hours with the exception of mild insomnia which can last for up to two weeks.
